We need some help to understand and scoping the build of a SAAS project.
Our project is similar to an existing product but we want to add and change some features to make it our own. This online software is called Fuzzlecheck Pro, you can check it out by signing up for a trial and reviewing "how to" video. It is some software to help manage and schedule film or TV projects by importing and analysing scripts, then allowing users to assign data to various elements in the scripts (eg: characters in the script)
Deliver
a short 1 page report to help us understand complexity, possible development strategy (coding / server requirements etc / front end), how we might break up the project into "chunks" to better manage development as well as test features, what sort of time frame required and stages might be applicable, other information that would help us better understand the project requirements.
How we might build and test the import and tag feature on a basic level
The next stage after this (a new freelancer project) we need would be the build, so succesful applicant might be someone who can do this and manage the build.
Key Objectives
This is to be an online platform, accessible via browser
Should be able to set up multiple projects (separately)
Speed is critical (page loading / data updating etc)
Multi users (can work concurrent)
Admin rights
Consider how we might replicated or create a package where other companies could have their own system/access, where we might be able to monetise our system.
Priority Features
1. Importing and "tagging" script elements (imported from PDF or Final Draft FDX) - Scripts are formatted in a universal manner - see attached sample
2. Managing data for Contacts/Crew/Companies/Cast/Sets (Locations)/Props/Costume/SFX/VFX/etc (these all used to tag script elements
3. the tag data, needs to be able to be to identified and create background information, like name, address, cost, company, tax id, status whether its an "option" or has been "approved" (this is what we would work on to map out)
4. scheduling, "drag and drop" scenes into the strip boards, divide by days/breaks etc.
