A Social platform for sharing Home Cooked Food

Our App/Website will have Food Consumers and Providers. Here is small list of actions each can perform. Consumers : Following are the things, a consumer can do : 1. Signup as Consumer. 2. Search food in a given area. 3. Select one of the search and order food. 4. Get notifications (successful order, order ready, reminders etc. ) 5. Update his/her profile (likes, dislikes, allergies, preferences in food, address, payment information) 6. See order history. 7. Review food ordered. Providers - Following are the things which providers can do : 1. Sign up as Provider. 2. Add listing of meals with specific information. 3. Look at the orders coming in. 4. See all the meal listings of past. (Something like a dashboard, showing searches, orders, money earned, review/rating) 5. Update Provider profile ( Cooking philosophy, cuisines they know, awards won etc ) 6. Upload photos of the food with description. Tech Stack : Front End: Twitter Bootstrap + JS + AJAX Backend: Web services using Python, Python + Mysql, S3 for photos/videos Platform: Amazon EC2 Load Balancer: Amazon What is already built: • 2 EC2 instances created and configured in load balance configuration • Databases have been created (MySQL) • S3 infrastructure and code is working • Backend code for MVP functionality is done in PHP, but we want to rewrite in Python. • Part of MVP Web frontend is already developed using Twitter Bootstrap + JS and Ajax What is to be built: • Web Services on AWS using Python • Backend rewriting in Python (from PHP) • Web Frontend • iOS App • Android App
