Hei and hej
My family and I think about immigrating to Norway or Sweden to set up a small organic farm. To take a sound decision we would like to base it on geographical information, climatic forecasts in combination with agricultural knowledge. If you are interested in providing us with following information in form of a PostGIS database, we would appreciate you handing in an in in an offer with amount of time required and a rough timeline after having studied what is already available in the repository (find link in the requirement section below).
Minimal requirement specifications proposal:
- detailed manual to reproduce the results in PostGIS database
- ensemble forecasts based on IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change) approved models (it does NOT mean, the forecasts have to be calculated, see climate data section)
- ensemble forecasts for rcp 8.5 and rcp 4.5 model calculations (it does NOT mean, the forecasts have to be calculated, see climate data section)
- ensemble forecast for the years 2046, 2084 and 2100 (it does NOT mean, the forecasts have to be calculated, see climate data section)
- ensemble forecasts for mainland of Norway and Sweden, i.e. no islands required
- geographical data in "global" WGS84
- take into account the effect of prolonged vegetation period by use of polytunnels
- forecasts of growth potential of crop plants (list below)
- resulting artefacts open to the public (as to us), licensing under EUPL [login to view URL]:OJ.L_.2017.128.01.0059.01.ENG&toc=OJ:L:2017:128:FULL or compatible
- artefacts maintained in Subversion repository of the SourceForge project [login to view URL]
