SEO needed for website

Hi, I apologize up front as I am new to this and am not sure how to go about this. So here goes... I have a website directory that is currently a PR3. My goal is to increase that ranking to at least a PR5 or better. Also increasing the sub-pages rankings would be helpful as well, but not mandatory. From my limited experience it appears this is what people are interested in when researching directories, but I will leave that up to you. Lastly, and I'm not sure if this will go hand in hand with the increased page rank, but I need to increase traffic to the site and I assume that means better search engine rankings.
