Wrap WooCommerce correctly into my Custom Built WP Theme

Hi, I have installed WooCommerce and tried to wrap it inside my <div class="content-area"></div> but don't seem to be having any luck. It seems to only wrap the Shop page. I have built the site with custom css and no bootstrap has been used. I have tried to [login to view URL] override method and also the hook method to wrap inside my container however am still having no luck. Essentially what I need is to get my website to a point where the store looks and functions correctly (as it should) in my custom theme. Please note: As this is a custom-built website, a report of all changes made to the site must be submitted with an explanation of why and what was effected; so that to avoid any future problems.
