Hello, I'm Kit Your project sounds like about water cooling to me. The temperature of medium act as feedback to Arduino controller. I'll need your information on the sensor selection (be it dry or submersible type). The control of DC pump can be done using motor driver and Arduino gives out PWM output to motor driver. Having a flowmeter enables you to check for fault and knowing the flow. Output to motor (yes), flowmeter reading(yes) -> normal Output to motor (yes), flowmeter reading(no) -> faulty We can attach a toggle/ sliding switch to Arduino to select automatic or manual control. Under manual operation, we can use potentiometer or equivalent to control the PWM output thus controlling the flowrate. For automatic operation, a simple bang-bang or proportional control is sufficient. I will need more information on this to justify the suitable control system Let's have a chat Best regards

Hi. I have created a device with this similar function for a client. Two videos of the device in action is available in my portfolio. Available Functions 1: Currently the device is to operate a solenoid valve to dispense water. It is possible to replace the valve with a water pump without any change in programming. 2: There are total of 7 buttons, one in the main unit and six in the an extension box. Each button have a settings. 3: User can set volume of liquid to be dispensed with each setting. 4: User can switch between volume of liquid dispensed or the time to keep the solenoid open, in case flow sensor damaged. Here are a few observations from my experience in working in that project. 1: If using the solenoid valve, make sure to attach the flow sensor before the solenoid valve for more accurate reading. 2: In solenoid valve, connecting a bypass manual valve can ensure fail safe operation. 3: If water pump is used, then use a current sensor to make sure pump is working and taking load, to avoid damaging pump.
