include html from file based on database value

I need to read a value from a database containing the name of a file. Then I need to include the contents of that file in my asp page. The file will always contain html. I already know how to read the value from the database, I just need to know how to build an include that will work. Everytime I do it, it just writes the include command not the contents of the file I want to include.
