Certified RSO for Regulatory Compliance

I am in need of a Certified Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) with an excellent understanding of radiation safety training, compliance with regulations, and incident reporting. Responsibilities: - Conduct radiation safety training for staff members - Ensure strict compliance with all local and international radiology regulations - Timely documentation and reporting of any radiation-related incidents (i) Carry out routine measurements and analysis of radiation levels in the controlled area, supervised area of the radiation facility and maintain records of the results thereof. (ii) Investigate any situation that could lead to potential exposures. (iii) Advise the employer regarding: (a) The necessary measures aimed at ensuring that the regulatory constraints and the terms and conditions of the licence are adhered to. (b) The safe storage and movement of radioactive material within the radiation facility. (c) Initiation of suitable remedial measures in respect of any situation that could lead to potential exposures. (d) Routine measurements and analysis of radiation and radioactivity levels in the off-site environment of the radiation processing facility and maintenance of the records thereof. (iv) Ensure that – (a) reports on all hazardous situations along with details of any immediate remedial actions taken are made available to the employer and licensee for reporting to the competent authority and a copy endorsed to the competent authority. (b) quality assurance tests of structures, systems, components, and sources, as applicable are conducted; and (c) monitoring instruments are calibrated periodically. (v) assist the employer in – (a) instructing the workers on hazards of radiation and on suitable safety measures and work practices aimed at optimising exposures to radiation sources; and (b) the safe disposal of radioactive wastes; and (c) developing suitable emergency response plans to deal with accidents and maintaining emergency preparedness The primary goal of this hire is to ensure my operations maintain constant compliance with regulatory requirements. Therefore, a strong background in radiology regulation compliance is paramount. Ideal Skills & Certifications: - Certified Radiation Safety Officer - Strong knowledge of radiology regulations and safety protocols - Excellent reporting and documentation skills - Experience in providing radiation safety training. Impressive candidates would have a solid track record as an RSO and a clear commitment to patient safety and regulation adherence. Qualifications Engineering degree/diploma in electrical/mechanical/electronics/biomedical engineering with minimum six months field experience and is using TLD personnel monitoring badge for minimum six Do you have a valid "Radiation Safety and Quality Assurance of Diagnostic X–ray Equipment” (RS-QADXE) certificate?
