Blockchain Code Analysis (Ethereum & BitCoin & Hyperledger)

WE DO HAVE MORE COMING FOR THE PARTNERS WHICH QUALIFIES) We need to integrate our new online service with a Blockchain. We are not sure as of now which one is the best to use for our specific solution. Therefore we need to do some analyses beforehand and need to research existing open source blockchain models if they will provide what we need. We have several independent requirements which we need to get analyzed. In this project we need an analysis of the ethereum blockchain and you need to determining whether the ethereum core software implements specific functionality as defined below or not. RESEARCH TOPIC: There are several “participants” in the ethereum system communicating with each other at certain times. Please identify these “participants” within the system and define who communicates with whom at what time, when and why. These “participants” can be modules or units or anything like that fulfilling a specific purpose. E.g. one could be a module which checks the availability of other nodes within the system. One can be a module which makes sure that a node has the latest ledger, the most recent block or one other could be handling requests from a wallet. However, these are only ideas! Please do not limit yourself to this ideas but explain when communication happens and between which “participants”. Identify the “participants” for a specific communication as master and slave. E.g. a wallet is trying to get the latest block information and is therefore sending a request to all known nodes. The nodes will answer with the latest block header information they have. Based on this reports the wallet will then download the latest block from the node which reports the highest number. However, it is possible (or normal, or highly probable) that more than one node will report the highest number as the ledger is updated on several nodes already. In this case, the wallet would be the master and the nodes would be the slaves. On other cases there might be communications between slave itselves, e.g. if they need to get the latest block or any other information. The above examples which might not even be correct for the ethereum blockchain and there might be many other cases there a module is behaving like a master and is communicating with other modules or clients which then would act as slaves. Or there might be slaves communicating with each others. These are the cases you need to identify if you take this assignment. Based on your findings we will need to research even deeper and will open new jobs to you. Therefore it is important that you document for yourself where to find the different functionality so that you can easily access the code for more analysis.
