I am looking for an electronics Engineer that has experience designing LiPo battery charging circuity. Please do not send me cookie cutter responses. I will simply reject them. You need to provide me a proposal that can demonstrate you know what you are doing to be qualified for further discussion about this project. The key requirements are: 1. Being able to charge up to 16 x LiPo batteries simultaneously (4S and higher @10A) using a balance charge method. 2. The system would stop charging the batteries once fully charged. 3. The system must have a communication port that would allow external systems to be able to perform and obtain the following information about the batteries through the charging system: a) Current Voltage of the battery and the voltage of each individual cells. b) Being able to instruct the system via software commands what battery to charge. c) If the battery voltage has dropped to point where it can not be safely charged again, provide the status of the such battery via software to external solutions. d) While the battery is charged, provide each battery charge status via software. e) being able to recycle the battery charge by discharge and charge methods. f) Battery storage method. I open to various microprocessors based solution that will require to provide the software communication platform. Please provide a high level proposal.

Hi! Your project looks to be an interesting an interesting challenge to do. Lets go trough your requirements: 1. If do you want to charge up to 16x Li-Po batteries, so formally you need a 16S charger, what could be achieved by combining 4x 4S charging channels, for example, or any other combination up to a single charge controller with 16x channels. 2. The charging is stopped when reaching the minimum current consumption of the charge circuit, what is settable, at this level the batteries will have the voltage level of the fully charged battery. 3. The measurements could be done by a LTC6804 like battery management IC and the values read by a given microcontroller like STM32Fx series. a) this is via the battery management by microcontroller; b) could be done via individual battery connection mechanism to be able connect the batteries to the charger and disconnect them in fault conditions, for example; c) the MCU (microcotroller) can send such kind of information to the host according to the voltage reading data; d) this is related to a) e) do you want to implement a discharge circuit as well? How do you planing to connect the charger to a host system, so what would be the communication interface?

I been working on battery related products for quite a while now. I have designed a battery management system for solar, Electric Vehicles and also for handheld devices. And since you have a 4s battery pack I can easily design it for you. I ll be using an robust microcontroller with fail proof algorithms to control the current using mosfet. Also regarding the communication to the system for information I can build you a module which you can connect to the BMS and you can get all the battery related info either on the cloud or simply on a mobile phone using an andorid app. I would be dedicated towards the work offered and the quoted prices would be reasonable. I don't want to say who am I and all. Coming to your project it seems to be a simple BMS which would be based on ARM cortex to make it more reliable and if budget is not allowing you it can be done on Arduino as well. Here we have to work on Newton charge method which will gives you your battery information which would be read by your controller and it can be send directly to its destination and hence this is the simple project if we cut into small pieces and the join Thanks

Multi charger design will have common AC-DC circuit and individual DC-DC converter along with charge control and management IC. Each management IC communicates with master controller and throw data to display and communication port. Send a message to discuss block diagram.
