Objective: Create a complete project database with information from the project lists of employees, ensuring accuracy and consistency with the existing database format. Instructions: 1. Review Existing Database and Documentation: Begin by familiarising yourself with the existing project database structure as outlined in the provided Excel document (CV [login to view URL]). Note the headings and notes used in the table. 2. Compare Will’s project list (WB CV (long form Jan 24).docx with entries in the database. Pay attention to project specifics such as Capability, industry, description. a. Capabilities and industries can be found within the ‘List’ sheet on the database. 3. Begin adding new projects to the database, with projects from the attached CVs from other employees. a. Project name: Found in the blue text above the project description. Should a project only have a client name and no project name, leave the cell blank and highlight. b. Client name: Found in the blue text above the project description. Should a project only have a project name and no client name, leave the cell blank and highlight. c. Polis or External: If not indicated as external leave the cell blank. If project description highlights the employee undertook this project at a previous place of work, indicate ‘external’. d. Description: Black text below project name and client name. Copy this text directly into the database. e. Year: If provided insert, if no date is apparent, leave blank and highlight the cell f. Industry: This is found at the top of the column in the dark blue and bolded text, projects in the industry are listed below. If a project appears to not have an industry highlight the cell and leave blank. If an industry is mentioned that is not part of the current list, please add and highlight. g. Capability: This is found either within the project description or as part of the title of the project. If a project has a new capability listed, please add to the list and highlight. h. Team: List the name of the person from the title of the word document. Should more people have the same project, add their names to the same project listing on the database. Note: Do not have multiple entries for the same project, simply add the name of the next employee too the current project on the data base. In this situation also check the project description to see if additional details were provided. 4. Consistency: Ensure all entries are consistent with the formatting and categorisation of the existing database. This includes using the same headings and maintaining the style of notes. 5. Quality Assurance: Double-check all entries for accuracy, completeness, and consistency. Correct any discrepancies and ensure all project details are accurately captured. 6. Final Submission: Once all data from employee project lists have been added and reviewed for accuracy, submit the updated database in Excel format. Deliverables: An updated Excel database file with projects from all employee’s project lists added, following the existing database format and categorisation. Deadline: [Insert Deadline] Documents provided • ADC CV (long Feb 24).docx • AW CV (long Feb 24).docx • KJ CV (long Feb 24).docx • LW [login to view URL] • WB CV (long Feb 24).docx • CV [login to view URL] Additional Notes: If any project details are unclear or missing, please flag these for clarification. Ensure confidentiality and privacy of the information.
