Freelance Hardware Design Engineer

TOMRA Food is looking to hire a Freelance Hardware Design Engineer for our HQ in Leuven (BE). OMRA Food is a global market leader in the development of state-of-the-art sensor-based sorting and processing technologies for food, recycling and mining industries. Our team in Leuven comprises of over 60 engineers and scientists working on next generation optical sorting platforms. We help our customers to maintain the highest standards in food quality and safety by achieving excellence in technological innovation. As our hardware engineer in Leuven, your job consists of sustaining and developing hardware/electronics for our next generation optical sorters. You proactively work together with members of your own team and with members of other teams especially in Leuven (e.g. mechanics, software and optics) and internationally (Dublin, Eindhoven, Koblenz). You communicate your findings and make strategic recommendations to other stakeholders. You are willing to sporadically travel abroad to customer locations and other TOMRA locations.
