Both of the flyers will be given to parents whose kids are already at our school. Flyer 1: is to announce a guest speaker and a write Ama Yawson, her accomplishment, time and place of performance. Use only highlights, please: We would like to invite you to a very special occasion: Ama Yawson, the author of the best selling illustrated children’s book; ‘Sunne’s Gift’ is visiting us on Friday, January 26th. In 2013, a painful experience in which a barber called her son a racial pejorative term and said that his hair was not pretty and should be shaved off inspired Ms. Yawson to venture into writing her first self-esteem building book, Sunne's Gift. Thousands of copies of this book have been purchased and hundreds of feedback stories constantly move and even astonish the author. Many families are recreating ‘Sunne’s Gift’ at home and many schools in their classrooms and school grounds. Ms. Yawson is visiting our school to do readings and assembly presentations on Character, Literacy, and Music Education, Self-Esteem Building, Bullying Prevention, Cultural Education for our children and you are cordially invited to come and enjoy the occasion. Her presentations will start around 2.00 pm and end around 3.00 pm on Jan 26, 2018. ‘Sunne’s Gift’ will be available for purchase on the day, signed by the author. * Photos attached.
