ACCORD PROJECT

We are a UK registered charity based in Cardiff. Our main object is to promote the Christian faith. As part of our outreach program, we have started a women's project called Accord. Accord is a non-denominational women's community which offers a safe environment for women of all ages to come together to support and encourage each other. Accord started with daily posts on Facebook based around a variety of different topics designed to encourage and build up its readers. The arrival of Covid-19 caused a great surge in demand for the posts as readers sought to seek out a firm and stable foundation in the midst of an ever changing environment. The posts are supported by weekly on-line forums where women can come together to support each other and also ask for support for any concerns and issues that they may have. Recently, Accord has introduced a range of bi-monthly study journals which take one of the topics from the daily posts and study it in more depth. Examples of topics covered include "Facing your fears" and "Honesty". All works done to date have been completed by 3 volunteers who meet in a home to produce the resources. Due to the success of accord, we feel that it is now time to rent an office which would become the base of operations, reward the volunteers and purchase some new equipment. We are seeking funding to accomplish this.
