Ruby on Rails with Material UI based on React

I have a website that is nearly ready. I have coded and designed everything by myself. Coding is a hobby of mine, so I'm not really good at it. As you can imagine, my code is very hacky, but it works just fine. My website is basically a place where users can login to read daily news. I add those news every day through an Administrator area. I need your help with three things: 1) Display the articles in a specific manner: by Month, than Day, then all the articles that were created on that day. Try to imagine it like this: There's a page that contains rectangles, each of these rectangles has the name of a MONTH on it. So, they go like: January, February, March....and so on. When the user clicks in one of these months, a menu opens right below it and show every day from that month: 1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8... and so on. When the user clicks on one of those DAYS, the page shows all the news (articles) that belong to that day. This is almost already complete. I just need someone to help me organize it properly. I can already display month and day, I'm just having trouble displaying the articles. For someone who knows what they're doing, this should be very easy. 2) The news(articles) have many characteristics, such as: Topic (politics, economy, security...), Region (Americas, Asia, Europe, Africa...) and so on. I would like to create a SEARCH PGE where the user will be able to SEARCH for articles based on these criteria. I want to change my current layout to this because it makes a huge difference in usability.
