Knockout.js affecting swatches on custom search (Magento)

Experience Level: Expert Ajax Search bar located at the top of each Magento 2.3 category that search through the entire product collection of the current customer position (category selected, filters applied) and returns the search results by replacing the category grid page with search results (without the page reload). The categories have up to 800 products (a will have more) each and are lazy loaded due to performance concerns. The search needs to use the [login to view URL] file for rendering of the products (or similar approach to mirror the product grid card styles and functionality). So far: We created a controller that creates the productCollection and returns HTML of the products using Ajax. However, the productCollection is not using the [login to view URL] as it is built manually in the controller, therefore, the product card is not “like for like” with the category product card. The real issue is with the rendering of the swatches for the configurable products in the controller.
