I am a structural design engineer and well conversant with steel design ( please refer my gigs) My experience on steel design extend more than 15 years. I have done many steel building design and scaffold designs for many large infrastructure projects. In your work assignment , based on the span 2.65m , the capacity of the beam can be calculated for ULS Bending & shear. Since this is an RHS , the lateral torsional buckling would not be an issue. The detail calculations can be provided base on any code of practice. I believe AS ( Australian Code of Practice ) is the applicable. Then two point load system can be also simulated and checks will be similar to above.
