I have worked quite extensively on both of these PSoC4 and ESP826. I am assuming that this will be P2P communication over UART. So I am bidding here to provide you firmware for PSoC4 and ESP8266 to build the wireless communications. So whenever you press the button, the communication will be started sending/receiving data. However please share more details about the exact implementation so that I can tell you the best development cycle for this job.
