I'm looking for a solution that can integrate with standard Linux SendMail and direct email to be sent via Amazon's Simple Email Service.
E.g. I want all our PHP sites to be able to use the default mail() command and the email is sent via the Amazon Simple Email Service. <[login to view URL]>
I also want to add some tracking on the number of emails sent. Details below!
## Deliverables
In addition to sending the emails via SES, we also need to keep a count of how many emails are sent each day.
We shall provide a mysql DB for this purpose and it should simply record the date and a count of the number of emails sent from each address.
e.g.
Date From Count
9/9/11 x@[login to view URL] 40
9/9/11 y@[login to view URL] 20
8/8/11 x@[login to view URL] 12
On the first of each month, the script needs to send the summary for the last month in an email to an email address also listed in a db table.
Total emails sent for August
x@[login to view URL] 52
y@[login to view URL] 20
The script should be easy to deploy to multiple systems and come complete with clear (and simple!) instructions.
