Customisation of ASP.NET 2.0 shopping cart

Customisation of the BV Commerce 5 shopping platform ([login to view URL]) to replace and extend the functionality of our existing shopping cart technology at: [login to view URL] BV Commerce 5 is developed around ASP.NET 2.0 and our existing platform has been developed around classic ASP. Both platforms utilise an SQL 2005 database. We have the source code of our current and proposed shopping cart platforms, all site content and new graphic design / layout. While all customisation tasks have been specified, we require the provider to undertake a consultative process during each customisation task. While this is not a fixed fee project, at the start of each customisation task, we will require the provider to estimate the number of hours required to complete each task. We are currently short-listing potential providers and have a much greater level of detail with respect to the development work required for short-listed applicants. We expect the successful provider will be well versed in .NET / Ajax / SQL development and e-commerce usability issues, including developing for cross-browser compatibility with CSS and search engine optimisation. The development work includes data migration. All new development will need to be tested, produce efficient markup, suitably documented and where possible follow the modular architecture of BV Commerce 5. This will assist in future maintenance / development tasks. We are hoping to have the bulk of our customisation done in the next 2-3 months, and expect that a near full time commitment from the provider will be necessary to meet this timeframe. ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased. (No GPL, GNU, 3rd party components, etc. unless all copyright ramifications are explained AND AGREED TO by the buyer on the site per the coder's Seller Legal Agreement). ## Platform ASP.NET 2.0 / MS SQL 2005 / all popular web browsers
