Looking for a J2MEn programmer to develop an audio application for the Sony Ericsson W880i phone. In short: We have developed a B2B audio application using exact time-based playlists (i.e. the playlist contains a large amount of music files (mp3 and AAC+), each assigned a certain starting time: (...) 00:00:00 [login to view URL] 00:04:47 [login to view URL] 00:09:44 [login to view URL] 00:13:12 [login to view URL] 00:17:31 [login to view URL] 00:20:46 [login to view URL] 00:24:44 [login to view URL] 00:28:09 [login to view URL] (... and so on until 24:00:00). What we need now is an application that is using these exact-time-based playlists and files stored on a memory card to play out what feels like live radio to an end consumer. The consumer is able to "switch channels" at any time. The software will present pictures to go along with the song, these PNG files are named in accordance to the music file (i.e. [login to view URL], [login to view URL], [login to view URL] and so on). In the above example: When the app is started at 00:18:10 the file [login to view URL] is played with a 39 second offset, after that the files [login to view URL], [login to view URL] and so on are played until the user "changes the channel" -> another playlist is loaded and we start from the beginning. So far we have this running using (fairly basic) ruby and python scripts under linux, now we would like to port this to J2ME phones to show a couple of clients what can be done with this in the B2C market. The scripts will be disclosed to you upon winning the bid (as I said - there is not much to it but it might help as a starting point). Your job: You will develop the user interface and implement the playout logic (time calculation has already been done in easy to understand ruby) and the player app itself. Please contact me with your quotation & references or questions should you be interested in this offer.
