Java Graph visualization and XML

There are two files for the project: 1. The first one is GO database - this is made up of gene name annotations in RDF-XML (this file is very big, more than 2mb and I will suggest you download as follows: [login to view URL] can be found here [login to view URL] ) 2. The second file is LinkBrowser download (from [login to view URL]) containing two folders "LinkBrowser" and "GraphLayout" and these contain java classes. There is also [login to view URL] which when clicked will demonstrate the effects of the classes. You will also find useful files such as [login to view URL] for modification the effects of the classes. Basically, an XML parser (new/modified - there is one in the Touchgraph called [login to view URL]) is required to parse the content of GO database (first file) . The hierracrhy is a DAG and there could be more than one parent for a child (they are related by is_a and part_of). Each term (i.e each annotation/gene name is represented in a box (node) and relationships shown with arrows to other terms. When the user searches with a term (id/name), all the related terms (id/name) are then dispalyed on HTML/Applet. Both HTML and also Applet plus Swing are required An article([login to view URL]) is enclosed showing some illustrations of the expected hierrarchical structures (figure 1 on page 5). There is more explanation in the folder "[login to view URL]". ## Deliverables 1) Complete and fully-functional working program(s) in executable form as well as complete source code of all work done. 2) Deliverables must be in ready-to-run condition, as follows (depending on the nature of the deliverables): a) For web sites or other server-side deliverables intended to only ever exist in one place in the Buyer's environment--Deliverables must be installed by the Seller in ready-to-run condition in the Buyer's environment. b) For all others including desktop software or software the buyer intends to distribute: A software installation package that will install the software in ready-to-run condition on the platform(s) specified in this bid request. 3) All deliverables will be considered "work made for hire" under U.S. Copyright law. Buyer will receive exclusive and complete copyrights to all work purchased.
