Convert PHP script to Apache Shared Module (using Delphi)

I've a simple database PHP script of about 200 lines (with proper code formating) which i need to convert to apache module so as to improve performance by replacing the CGI based PHP script. This php script currently runs on Win32 Apache platform. PHP is running in CGI mode. The Apache Module can be created using Delphi 6. Database interface will be done using DBExpress (components will be provided along with sample code (we have other delphi app doing similar database operations). Performance improvement is a criteria, please suggest if you think there is a better way, e.g. change web server, etc. Direct conversion from PHP to Delphi Apache Module is all that is needed.
