PHP auto crop image

Please refer to the attached image. a) I have an image with a grid of 40 cells. 20 cells are large and 20 are small. The small cells have uniqe numbers in them. b) I have to print such images with cells. c) On the printed page, I have to stick (with glue), photos of students according to the numbers in small cells. d) I then have to scan page with photos. e) The scanned image looks like the attached image. The attached image has only 2 photos in it, in reality there may be upto 20. Also notice that the photos are not aligned in the sample scan. I need a PHP function that can accept the scanned image produced in step (e), and crop the photos and save them according to the numbers printed below the photos. The cropped photos may have to be rotated if the photo was glued in a aligned fashion in step (c). I hope the requirement is clear. I am happy to answer queries. Succesful bidder should host the php page on his/her own server so that my client can test it.
