A Master of Business Administration in Human Resources will advance your career as a general personnel supervisor or manager to the next level. This MBA degree is designed for the human resources person with a bachelor’s degree and several years of experience who would like to manage the human resources department of a large company, an international organization, or a government agency. Also, at the completion of this degree, graduates will have knowledge of most of the material that is needed to receive certification from the Society of Human Resource Management.
Human resources management is the job of administering the entire human capital management structure for an organization. The human resources department is responsible for recruiting, training, developing, protecting, and retaining employees. A human resources manager must understand how to find employees, what qualifies an employee for work, and the legal practices of hiring. They may also be responsible for monitoring employee training, administering employee benefits, and safety in the workplace. In a larger company, a human resources manager will also advise management on situations concerning employee issues.
