Sculpt SharePoint Development Brief Sculpt is a new Spatial Design company based in Birmingham, UK. We are forward thinking and always developing. As a new company we are still evolving our systems and are flexible in the way we work. Part of our current development includes looking at how we as a company can utilise various utilities to streamline our workflow and increase efficiency. As an Office 365 customer we have the ability to add SharePoint to our arsenal of tools. A lot of companies in our industry still use in house fileservers or DropBox to share files wilth the team. We believe that SharePoint can give us more than simply file sharing, but we need someone to show us how and help us implement it. The following are the main elements required for our site, we also want to work with the chosen developer who may be able to show us features and possibilities we’re not aware of. Admin Area • Admin Documents • Staff info (possibly integrate with FreeAgent) Main Company Site • Company Calendar for holidays / events (to sync with Outlook) • Info Centre – Searchable quick posts to share useful tips and hints, with the possibility to add documents, images, URLs or just plain text. • Supplier Contacts (possibly easily added from Outlook?) • Project Subsites o Project Contacts o Genral project Tilemine o Project Tasks o Site Photos – With metadata for where, when, who etc. o Documents Received – with metadata such as who it was received from (linked to project contacts), date, specialism etc. o Issued Documents – To possibly be shared with clients, with metadata for issue date, revision, who it was issued to etc. This should be easy to manage via drag and drop or even linked to outlook when an email is sent. Version history is important so we can refer to older revisions if needs be. o Project Documents – general documents to be synced to client machines for day to day working. Many file types including JPG, PDF, DWG, INDD, AI, PSD but including many others. What else? We want you to bring your expertise with SharePoint to tell us what else we can use. We want to work with you to develop a robust and easy to use system that people will use without even thinking about it. As we are a design company, we will also want a basic, minimal theme to be implemented to really make it our own.
