MP3 Audio file normalizer on OSX - 1 window simple GUI

Hi, I can do the project for $500, provided the specifications are very clearly defined up front. Additional changes and modifications would not be covered by this budget. The specifications being: 1. An application to batch process a collection of mp3 files, stored in a user selected directory. 2. The mp3 files are short recordings of spoken text (words). 3. The mp3 files are not uniform (different bitrates, mono/stereo, different duration of leading and trailing silence, different volume). 4. The batch process will convert all files in the collection to be uniform: mono, same bit-rate, same amount of leading and trailing silence, normalized volume. 5. The normalization is done by looking for the peak volume in each mp3 file and adjusting the gain to bring this volume to a maximum level. 6. Adjusting the leading and trailing silence will be done by first trimming the existing silence and then adding the desired silence. 7. The graphical user interface will consist of a single window with a button to open the directory selector, input text fields to set bit-rate, trailing silence, leading silence and normalized volume, a button to start the batch process, a button to cancel the batch process, and a text output showing a log of the batch process as it progresses. 8. The user specified values (7) will be stored in the App's preferences. 9. The resulting mp3 files will be written to a subdirectory, with a unique name for each run, of the selected directory 10. The application will run on MacOSX 10.7 or 10.8 with sandboxing deactivated. 11. The user interface is written in Objective C and Cocoa. 12. The audio processing code (trimming, adding silence, normalization) is custom-made in C/C++. 13. The mp3 conversion may use external tools contained in the binary bundle, third party libraries or Audio Toolbox functionality, to the criterium of the developer. 14. Both binary and source code are delivered. I have many years of professional experience developing audio related software. I can give you concrete examples if required. Hi From Michigan! I wrote mac software for an audio book company. Each CD came in and had MP3 files recorded at different bit rates and the volume would vary. I wrote routines that added two seconds of silence at the start and end of each track, normalized the volume and output the bit rate at 64. In your project, you want the user to be able to set the start and end silence. Also, you want the user to be able to set the bit rate and volume level. Otherwise, it is the same as software I wrote years ago when CDs where all the rage. I'd love to write this software for you. Thanks Eric
