Hello!
This project is to convert a searchable PDF file into an excel spreadsheet with certain parameters.
Files are ONLY to be made in little-endian, UTF-16 Unicode format; WordPad, EmEditor, and Microsoft Word are 3 good programs for editing this format. Files must be organized in the following way:
English-to-Chinese:
(word)(definition)
Chinese-to-English:
(word)(pinyin)(definition)
You may omit any of these fields, but you must keep the tabs intact.
Pinyin tones must be indicated with numbers, e.g. ni3hao3.
You may enter alternate traditional-charaters versions of headwords using brackets and dashes (just like they're displayed in PlecoDict).
I am providing the first page of the PDF file and the type of XLS output required they are all names "Sample A". I am providing a second sample, named sample2.
If you have any questions PMB me. There are about 30k items to organize into XLS. Most all of it converts very easily into word then once formated can fit into XLS. Remember in Pinyin there is no space. So any duplicated must be taken out. For example.
a1 di2 sen1 shi4 bing4 (a di sen shi bing) must be reduced to
a1di2sen1shi4bing4.
Please study the file, this project should take no more than 3 days.
Thank you,
Michael
