About us ? Joyride is a live audio app for friendly folk to meet new people, hangout with friends and take control of their social lives. Users can join live audio group chats and be introduced to like-minded people. Here they can chat, make new friends and play fun games together. Users have a collection of lighthearted icebreakers and social games that break the ice and help them get to know each other. Our app is currently in testing mode and will be launched later on in the year. But right now, we’re looking for creative content writers to help us craft localised game content for Germany. ------- Who You Are ? We are looking for a creative German copywriter with a knack for words to create content for social games for a trendy, current and ‘tuned-in’ audience. + You are fluent in German and also have a high level of fluency in English + You have a firm understanding of tone of voice and can adapt your writing style to suit a specific context + You have a creative writing style that is aligned with a high level of grammar and syntax of language + You are able to inject cultural and local references into content that our 18-27 year old audience will be able to understand and relate to + You have an understanding of current internet-humour, memes, jokes and social references + You have experience in localisation and content creation + Bonus points for making us laugh ------- What You’ll Do ? We’re looking for a creative content writer who can craft humorous, engaging and relevant content for our German market. Joyride is aimed at an audience of 18-30 year olds therefore, humor and creativity is highly important for this role. We are looking for content writers who can inject their own sense of style and imagination into each item. + You will localise and translate content for social games from English into German + You will create content such as: Questions, phrases and statements for games like: Would you rather, Never have I ever, Mad Libs, Fill in the blanks and many more + You will be able to analyse our English content and create a German version based on the original. We do not want direct, word-for-word translations. + You must be able to think outside the box and come up with current, on-topic and highly relevant solutions for content. + You will inject local humour, phrases and expressions into your work. + You will find appropriate, localised solutions for content based off the original, English version --------- The Details ? Each icebreaker game is made up of multiple content ‘packs’. Each pack consists of 30 cards that need content created for. These cards will consist of questions, statements and phrases — depending on what type of game it is. The freelance gig will be organised in the following way: + You’ll be given the icebreaker description and game instructions + We’ll let you know how the game works and give you the framework for content creation + You’ll view the original English cards + We’ll share the original English pack with you. This will give you guidance to craft a localised set of cards for German. + You’ll start creating content. + There are 30 cards in each pack. You will create 30 pieces of content (E.G — questions, statements, phrases) for each pack. Some icebreaker games will require multiple packs. --------- Wanna Work with Us? ?
